Meadowbrook Golf Course Youth Junior Golf Program & the Sticks for Kids Program
You may sign up at Meadowbrook Golf Course Starting April 1, 2010. Classes are limited to 40 students per class.
Sticks for Kids Beginner Junior Program: Golf Clubs will be provided for free at the Executive Golf Course for kids that are just learning the game of golf.
Meadowbrook/Executive Golf Course is pleased to announce it has partnered with the National Parks and Recreation Association and the Golf Course Builders Association of America to bring “Sticks for Kids” program to Meadowbrook/Executive Golf Course in Rapid City, SD. This golf-instruction workshop is for kids who are between the ages of 6-18 and will introduce more kids then ever to the game of golf. Especially designed for youth who may not otherwise have an opportunity to learn and play golf, the “Sticks for Kids” program offers a program that includes instruction in both the classroom as well as on the golf course. Youth size clubs will be available for any youth interested in playing the game who may not currently own their own golf equipment. The “Sticks for Kids” program gives kids the opportunity to learn about such golf fundamentals as stance, gripping, pitching, chipping, putting, and swinging from Meadowbrook Golf Course Staff. Participants also learn golf safety, etiquette and discipline.
Meadowbrook Golf Course Advanced Junior Program: Meadowbrook Junior Advanced Program will cover every aspect of the game of golf for the advanced golfer. This class will go into more detail then our beginner Junior Golf Program. This program is designed to take these young golfers to the next level, not just our Advanced Program but on to serious tournament play. All of the aspects of golf will be covered including: putting, chipping, iron play, woods, etiquette and rules. This program will be taught by Meadowbrook Golf Course Staff.
